When I was little, we sometimes went to my great-grandmother and grandfather's house for a sleepover. Then almost every night I got to see my great-grandmother Maggan (yes, the namesake of my maggie - my maggan) look at her slightly scary but also cool breasts. Two pretty big lines all over her chest and the lack of the nipple that once was there. I mostly thought it was a bit cheeky and was a bit too small to understand what she went through. How incredibly hard it must have been for her to lose one of her breasts.
Later, when I was 17 years old, my mother, grandmother and I had a little sleep-over at my grandmother's house. Grandma starts crying and tells me that she, like her mother, has gotten breast cancer. I don't know if I have ever been as scared as I was then. And how incredibly scared must my grandmother have been? Today she has been healthy for several years. my super grandmother.
I hope to sell LOTS of boob earrings and will donate SEK 50 per pair of pendants sold to the breast cancer association and breast cancer research.
So buy a pair of earrings for yourself, your mother, best friend, daughter, sister or colleague and tell her how amazing she is and the importance of keeping track of her breasts.
